OGC meet the Dragons Den

We were commissioned by OGC to run an awayday for one of their three directorates, helping them to:

  • gel as new teams
  • service plan
  • have fun

We devised a bespoke management game to achieve these goals.  It worked as follows:

The directorate were split into teams, each were given a real charity and they had to design a project for that charity to run and pitch the idea to a panel of philanthropic who would give the winning team £1million to run the project with.

Each team had to come up with their project, create a brand identity for the project and prepare a 10 minute pitch that included a 2 minute video.  Each team was given a graphic designer with workstation and a video camera.

The task worked excellently, teams got to know each other, lessons were learnt that fed into the service planning and through the exercise, useful information was generated for real charities.
