Facilitation of a National Conference and Team Building Event
Objective
Spirals was asked by another company to take a lead role in developing and facilitating a national conference for a Government agency. The event needed to cater for around 150 senior managers and include an element of team building to help embed the new structure.
Engagement
The team on the day included three experienced facilitators with Spirals taking the lead role. The event included the senior staff from offices across England. The delegates were split into smaller groups to work on a business simulation exercise with input from the facilitators as required.
The exercise was used to encourage the new teams to work together. The facilitators helped this process as required.
Result
The delegates considered the event to be a success and more importantly they also enjoyed their conference. The Directors of the Government agency felt that the event had helped to form the new teams and had provided an opportunity for people to get to know each other a bit better.
