Bespoke Member Development in Overview and Scrutiny
22nd October 2008
The value and the potential of overview and scrutiny is, in many instances, still only just being realised. It is critical then, and timely for all local authorities to ensure that they have robust, recognised and resourced overview and scrutiny functions in place.
As part of Spirals ongoing Member Development project with Colchester, Ipswich and Tendring councils, a bespoke programme in Overview and Scrutiny was designed to enable them to meet the specific challenges they face. This was delivered as two half day modules.
Spirals also offer a more detailed Overview and Scrutiny programme comprising of four modules.
